Arabuko-Sokoke is the largest intact block of coastal dry forest in East Africa and one of the most important sites for endangered and endemic birds on the continent. It is the last stronghold of the Clarke's Weaver and Sokoke Pipit, with Sokoke Scops Owl, Amani Sunbird and Spotted Ground Thrush among its many specials.
